AdvThermaLogic Basic Edition v2.0 covers the calculations run every week in continuous thermal processing: indirect and direct steam systems, hot-fill-hold, milk processing, process deviation and the scheduled process. AdvThermaLogic Basic is developed by Advanced Food-Tech Solutions for continuous-flow thermal processing. It is not a cut-down demo but the working set of six modules, running on the same calculation engine as AdvThermaLogic Pro, unit-aware and quick enough to use between meetings. It runs on Windows and macOS, with the macOS build available on request. The Indirect Processing Systems module covers continuous thermal processing for aseptic processing in indirect systems, returning F-value, exit temperature, residence time and hold-tube length. The Direct-Steam Systems module covers direct steam injection and infusion, with steam and thermal correction factors applied to the hold-tube flow. Hot-Fill-Hold covers acid and acidified foods filled hot and held, followed by container inversion, for continuous and batch routes, including acid classification. Milk Processing covers pasteurization, ESL and UHT for hold-tube, direct and indirect systems, with PMO-aligned time and temperature checks. Process Deviation evaluates a run against the scheduled process and shows the delivered result in a traceable, reviewable format. Scheduled Process Calculation provides the core schedule in one workflow, returning F-value, exit temperature, residence time and hold-tube length with printable results. The scheduled process result table returns maximum product flow, corrected hold-tube flow, residence time, product temperature in the hold tube, minimum preheater temperature and the F-value at the stated reference and z value, with the flow regime and applied corrections printed underneath. Steam volumetric and thermal expansion corrections are shown explicitly. F is always stated with its basis, for example F at 250 °F with z of 18 °F. Inputs can be saved and reloaded, cases added as work proceeds, and results copied as text or printed to PDF for the file. The Milk Processing module accepts heating mode, flow, tube geometry and F-value target, and returns residence time, hold-tube temperature, flow regime and correction factor. It works in indirect and direct steam, in gallons per minute or metric units, and in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius, with PMO-aligned presets including 161 °F for 15 seconds and optional Reynolds calculation with explicit flow-regime selection. Alongside the answer it states the caveats: that the target organism can change with process temperature, that published D and z values differ across ranges, and that below 100 °C the correction factors must be chosen and justified deliberately. Governing references are visible in the interface rather than buried in a manual: 21 CFR 113 and 114, PMO, 9 CFR FSIS cooked lethality, EC 852/2004 and FSA HACCP guidance. All six modules are reachable from one screen with nothing nested, licence status and edition are shown at all times, and the left rail keeps process letter requests, TID and TRT charts, hold tube CIP and SIP directions and critical parameters one click away. Basic is licensed at 790 euro plus VAT for one seat as a one-time perpetual licence with no subscription, renewal or expiry.
